About Dubai Creek
Dubai Creek is the historic saltwater inlet that anchored Dubai's transformation from a modest fishing village into a global metropolis. Separating Deira to the north from Bur Dubai to the south, the Creek remains the beating heart of old Dubai, where traditional wooden abras still ferry passengers across the water for just a dirham or two. The waterfront buzzes with dhows loading cargo, souks spilling over with spices and gold, and the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood preserving Emirati heritage through wind-tower architecture and narrow alleyways.
